I've been working in IT for over 20 years — across corporate businesses, charities, hotels, and everything in between. I've built enterprise networks, managed large-scale IT projects, migrated entire organisations to the cloud, and set up conference rooms from scratch.
What I noticed throughout that career is that small businesses are often left behind. They don't have the budget for a full-time IT person, and they can't always afford the big managed service providers. So they muddle through — living with slow computers, dodgy WiFi, and a phone system that drives their customers crazy.
That's why I started Focuslink IT. I wanted to put my broad experience to work for the businesses that need it most. Ad hoc, no retainers, no fuss. You call when you need help, I show up and sort it.
I also believe strongly in giving free advice. If you're not sure what you need, just ask — I'd rather spend 10 minutes on the phone pointing you in the right direction than have you waste money on the wrong solution.

I'll always tell you what you actually need — not what earns me the most. Sometimes that's a $50 cable, not a $500 solution.
Plain English, always
No jargon, no acronym soup. I explain what's wrong and what I'm doing in language that makes sense to you.
Get it done right
I take time to do the job properly — not just patch things until the next problem. If it's worth fixing, it's worth fixing well.
Budget-conscious
Small business budgets are real. I work within your constraints and always look for the most cost-effective solution.
